    I have a similar photo. I think it would be very interesting to use both photos in your classroom. You could also ask students to bring an important photo of their family or siblings and talk about the similarities and differences between photos across time. The Humiston photo seems to be a common theme for picturing three sibling together.

      Yes, Samantha, just the sort of thing I was thinking! It would really draw students in, huh? Things like the position of the males and females, older and younger children, facial expressions are all things that can give clues to their times and places.

    That is excellent. That connect reminds us these were real people not abstractions. I loved the Do They Miss Me at Home video for the same reason
