The <\/span>Texts <\/a>section of the <\/span>Internet Archive<\/a> is a great resource for primary sources as they provide free access to books in the public domain that would not be in most library collections. This non-profit organization has <\/span>partnered <\/a>with a number of institutions, including <\/span>Duke University Libraries<\/a>, the <\/span>Library of Congress<\/a>, the <\/span>Smithsonian Institution Libraries<\/a>, and the <\/span>University of California Libraries<\/a>, to scan books in their collections. \"\"<\/a><\/td>\nSearch Options<\/strong> \u2013 Select the relevant collection or sub-collection from the drop down menu<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/td>\nSort Results By<\/strong> – Several options are available; try sorting by \u201cDownload count\u201d or \u201cAverage rating\u201d to get the best or highest quality digital version<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/td>\nBook Contributor<\/strong> – This site can have multiple versions of some books, such as Uncle Tom\u2019s Cabin<\/a><\/em>. If a particular version has a problem (i.e. poor image quality), look for another copy uploaded by different contributor.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
