Part 1: General Setup\u00a0<\/strong><\/h1>\n

How to start an account:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

1. go onto Google Chrome (safari is not a supported browser)<\/p>\n

2. in the top right corner, select \u201csign up\u201d (using your email address)<\/p>\n

How to create a new video:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

1. click the blue \u201ccreate new\u201d button\u00a0in the top left corner<\/p>\n

2. select what you would like to record (most likely a video or a podcast)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

How t<\/strong><\/span>o rename video:<\/span><\/h1>\n

1. tap my video toward the top left of the page<\/p>\n

2. rename video and hit “ok”<\/p>\n

Part 2: Video Instructions<\/strong><\/h1>\n

How t<\/strong><\/span>o find content on the internet:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

1. look up image you want on the internet<\/p>\n

2. click on image you want and hit \u201cadd to photos\u201d or \u201csave to downloads\u201d<\/p>\n

note:<\/strong> remember to save the source where you got your photos from\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How t<\/strong><\/span>o import content into WeVideo:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

1. go to the \u201cmy media folder\u201d towards top of page<\/p>\n

2. hit \u201cimport\u201d to the far left<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

3. once the \u201cimport media\u201d window pops up, click and drag the image into the \u201cdrag and drop media here\u201d box OR click \u201cbrowse to select\u201d and go through your files, select the image, and hit “open”<\/p>\n

How t<\/strong><\/span>o put imported content into a video:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

1. drag content to the timeline by clicking and holding the image you want to put in the video<\/p>\n

Note: it will turn green<\/span> around the edges if it is placed in the right area<\/span><\/p>\n

How to delete imported content from a video: <\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

1. click on the clip you wish to delete until you see the three lines<\/p>\n

2. click the three lines until you see a popup bar,\u00a0click the trashcan icon on the popup bar<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

How to modify content once it is in the timeline: <\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

1. click on the clip you wish to modify until you see the three lines<\/p>\n

2. click the three lines until you see a popup bar,\u00a0click the pencil icon on the popup bar<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

3. This will bring you to an editor screen that looks like this:<\/p>\n

          2. click and drag the text style you want into your timeline<\/p>\n

          Note: use the \u201cbasic text\u201d to add titles and captions to your content; use the \u201cend credits tab\u201d at the end of your video, where you will you\u2019re your\u00a0content sources<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

          5. put the text next to your other content in the timeline to have it show up on a separate screen<\/p>\n

          6. put it above the \u201cvideo 1\u201d timeline into the \u201cvideo 2\u201d timeline to have it appear on top of already added content<\/p>\n

          How to edit text: <\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. click on the clip you wish to modify until you see the three lines<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. click the three lines until you see a popup bar,\u00a0click the pencil icon on the popup bar, which will bring you to an editor screen<\/p>\n

          3. how to use the text editor screen:<\/p>\n

          Helpful hint: you can animate text the same way you animate clips!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

          How to change length of clip: <\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. go into the timeline and clip the edge of the clip you wish to shorten or lengthen<\/p>\n

          2. drag with your mouse<\/p>\n

          How to zoom in on timeline:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. look at bottom right corner of screen where you will see a – + scale<\/p>\n

          \n2. click and hold down on the plus minus scale and you will see your timeline clips get larger or smaller<\/p>\n

          helpful hint:<\/strong> the more you zoom, the more accurately you can cut clips!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

          How to cut clips: <\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. click on the clip you wish to cut until it it highlighted orange<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. position the blue marker where you want to make your cut. On the blue marker, you will see a scissors button.<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          3. click it and it will cut in half<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          How to make transitions between each clip:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. go to the transitions tab<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. click and drag the desired transition into the timeline before, after, or in between the desired clips<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          How to add more video tracks to your timeline:<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. look to the far left of your screen and click the “+” button<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. when the “add a track” screen pops up, hit “add track”<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          3. You will notice “video 1,” “video 2,” “video 3,” and so on as you add more tracks.<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          Note: the clips placed on the highest numbered track will appear \u00a0front and of the clips placed lower. EXAMPLE:\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          How to move multiple clips at once: <\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. click and drag your mouse over every clip you want to drag until they have a green outline<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. when they are properly highlighted, all clips should be outlined blue when you let go of the mouse<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          3. click anywhere inside the blue outline and all the clips will move together. If you do this correctly, there should be a thick green outline as you try to move them<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          Part 3: Audio<\/h1>\n

          How to use free audio: <\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. go to the “audio” tab<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. click on “free music”<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          3. after selecting the song you want, click and drag it to the “audio track” in your timeline (below video 1)<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          How to import audio:\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. go to the \u201cmy media folder\u201d towards top of page<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          How to fade audio:<\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. click on the clip you would like to fade until you see the volume button. When you see it, click it and select the fade box<\/p>\n

          2. small, white dots will appear in your clip. Click and drag them to the desired volume you want<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          How to add another track:\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. look to the far left of your screen and click the “+” button<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. when the “add a track” screen pops up, hit “add track”<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          3. You will notice “audio 1,” “audio 2,” “audio 3,” and so on as you add more tracks.<\/p>\n

          Part 4: What to do when you are done<\/h1>\n

          How to export:\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

          1. When your video is complete, go to the top right corner and hit “finish”<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          2. once on the export page, hit “export” in the bottom right corner<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          3. it will bring you to a page like this, wait until it is done<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n

          4. once done, copy the embed code so you can put it in your WordPress site<\/p>\n

          \"\"<\/p>\n
