\u00a0We discussed this earlier, and you have been correctly clicking &#8220;yes&#8221; to enable the audio through this prompt. \u00a0But the next steps are just as important.<\/p>\n<p>The audio setup wizard opens automatically after you enable the audio. \u00a0The first box looks like this:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-415\" src=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard1-300x195.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard1-300x195.png 300w, https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard1.png 521w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click next. \u00a0Then, you will see a prompt asking you to check your speakers. \u00a0Make sure they&#8217;re turned on, and then click the test or play button to ensure the audio is clear. \u00a0This way, you will know you can hear Matt and the other presenters before we&#8217;ve said a word. \u00a0Note that you can use the horizontal slider in this box to raise the audio level, if necessary.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-416\" src=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard2-300x194.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" srcset=\"https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard2-300x194.png 300w, https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard2.png 521w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once your speakers are ready, click next. \u00a0Then &#8212; and this is the most important step in making sure you can speak to us &#8212; take a look at the options in the microphone test box:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard3.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-418\" src=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard3-300x195.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"195\" srcset=\"https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard3-300x195.png 300w, https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard3.png 519w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nNote that you can select the &#8220;input device&#8221; &#8212; or, your microphone, whether it&#8217;s an internal mic, as in many laptops, or an external device you have plugged into your microphone jack or USB port. \u00a0As with the speakers, you can also raise the microphone volume. \u00a0It&#8217;s a good idea to raise the microphone volume to the very top, as I have above for our presentations. \u00a0Once this is set, click next.<\/p>\n<p>And when the final prompt appears, click Finish to save your settings.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-419\" src=\"http:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/responsive\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard4-300x196.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard4-300x196.png 300w, https:\/\/housedivided.dickinson.edu\/sites\/civilwar\/files\/2012\/08\/audiowizard4.png 518w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To speak a question or comment during the session, remember that you have a few options for letting me know you would like to take the floor. \u00a0You could simply text me a note through the chat box, or click the raise hand or &#8220;ask for mic&#8221;
