This project consists primarily of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.umd.edu\/dcr\/collections\/sterling\/actions.text.BrowseText.do\" target=\"_blank\">Tillie Farquhar Sterling\u2019s correspondence <\/a>with her mother, which can provide an interesting look into daily life in Maryland between 1862 and 1864. Other letters in the collection include those <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.umd.edu\/dcr\/collections\/sterling\/actions.text.BrowseText.do\" target=\"_blank\">written by Tillie\u2019s husband<\/a>, who was an officer in the US army. In addition, the site has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lib.umd.edu\/dcr\/collections\/sterling\/who.jsp\" target=\"_blank\">short essay <\/a>that provides more information on the family\u2019s history.
