Rather than just show the course of a battle through static maps, these flash-based animations such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.civilwar.org\/fredericksburgmap\/\" target=\"_blank\">Fredericksburg <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.civilwar.org\/fdac\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chancellorsville <\/a>show highly detailed troop movements while providing all the information necessary to explain the battles. These maps are very useful for visually understanding the course of a battle.<\/p>\n<p>Other maps include <a href=\"http:\/\/www.civilwar.org\/chantilly\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chantilly<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.civilwar.org\/cedarcreekmap\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cedar Creek<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.civilwar.org\/savingbentonville\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Bentonville<\/a>.
