Other important primary sources include Lieber’s\u00a0Miscellaneous Writings: Reminiscences, Addresses, and Essays<\/a><\/em> (1881) and Like a Sponge Thrown into Water: Francis Lieber’s European Travel Journal of 1844-1845<\/a><\/em> (2002). Places to Visit<\/strong>
\n Lieber College<\/a> is located on the University of South Carolina’s campus\u00a0in Columbia. The building was constructed in 1837 and Lieber lived in the house until 1856. Today it houses the University’s\u00a0Undergraduate Admissions Office.<\/p>\n
